St. Katherine’s is a place of grace. During Sunday worship, we thank God for loving us without reservation. We ask God for discerning hearts, so that everyone we meet feels welcome and accepted. We respond to God’s gift of grace by caring about each other and through service, especially to the people of Forster Woods Adult Day Center. These relationships enrich our lives.

Our History

The story of St. Katherine’s is really two stories. The first story is that of John Harris Forster, the adventurous surveyor/miner/farmer who figured in much of Michigan’s early history, and his no less adventurous wife, Martha Mullett Forster.

St. Katherine’s Episcopal Church is very proud of its historic Chapel, Day Care and Retreat Center, and our main Church facility with its beautiful Sanctuary, large Parish Hall and rooms to accommodate many functions for our members and community.

Forster Woods

Forster Woods Adult Day Center was raised up by St. Katherine's Episcopal Church to reach out to the community to provide much needed support for the underserved populations of elder adults and their caregivers in our local area.
